Commemorating Aviation History
Willows Air Memorial (WAM) is a licensed and registered non–profit organization, commemorating the aviation history of Willows.
Willows Memorial Foundation of Korea’s First Aviation School & Air Corps (WKAS/AC, EIN: 81-4193990, IRS 501(C)-3) dba Willows Air Memorial is an organization founded by a group of intellectuals and professionals, sharing main objectives of introducing little-known but significant history of aviation pioneers of Willows and preserving important historic sites and do more. Since 2003, Korean Americans from California and the other regions in the U.S. have been working diligently on plans to build the WAM Air Museum/Memorial Park. It will commemorate the American and Korean aviators who taught, learned, and flew in the skies above Willows and Glenn County from 1920 to 1956.
The Willows Aviation school/ Air corps was proven to be the precursor or root of the Republic of Korea (ROK) Air Force. The ROK Air Force is the 10th strongest Air Forces in the world.
